Former GOP Nominee for State Controller and Congressman Tom McClintock Endorses Lanhee Chen
Mountain View, CA – Today, Lanhee Chen, candidate for California State Controller, announced the endorsement of Congressman Tom McClintock, who was also the GOP nominee for California State Controller in 1994 and 2002:
“Californians need a Controller who understands the principle of fiscal responsibility and isn’t beholden to Sacramento insiders. Lanhee Chen will be our independent fiscal watchdog. He will look out for the California taxpayer and make sure our state government is accountable to you,” said Congressman McClintock.
“Congressman McClintock has long been fighting for Californians and understands the kind of leadership we need in the Controller’s office. I am honored to have his support and look forward to working each day — as he has in his career — to put taxpayers ahead of the political insiders,” Chen said.
Rep. McClintock’s endorsement adds to the considerable support Chen has received from members of the California congressional delegation, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
